A Jordan village situated in the east of Thiban and 30 km south of Madaba, administratively follows Jizza district / Amman province, crossed by desert high way that connect Amman with the south of Jordan.
Historical importance
Known as Mefa'a, contains Roman churches, mosaic maps and stylist tours which used for special prays, mentioned in the Old Testament and the New Testament. Also known as the place where prophet Mohammed (PBUH) visited in his childhood and seen by worshipper Bohera, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004, it contains big visitors center that provides services and utilities.
People of um al rasas
Most of um al rasas people belong to Bani Sakhr tribe from Hqeish and Ka’bnah families, and they trade with Jizza and Madaba cities.
Agriculture
Um al rasa contains many farms depends on wells.
